Ian Fichtenbaum

Ian Fichtenbaum is a Senior Vice President and the Space and Satellite Specialist at the American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (www.aiac.com), a privately-held group of industrial companies spanning over 80 locations in 24 countries. Within AIAC, Ian is the Director and part of the ownership of the Bradford Space group (www.bradford-space.com), a global space systems manufacturer specializing in propulsion systems, attitude and orbit control systems, space station facilities and deep space missions. Ian has executed three acquisitions in the space industry in the last two and a half years, starting with Bradford Engineering in 2016, ECAPS in 2017 and Deep Space Industries in 2018. In his role as Director, Ian oversees Bradford’s many strategic and business initiatives. His goal is to build Bradford into a space systems group of both global and interplanetary significance.

Before joining AIAC, Ian worked for investment advisory firm Near Earth LLC for almost six years, advising space and satellite companies on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and assorted other corporate activities. In that he role, he worked with major primes, satellite operators, launch companies, start ups, hedge funds, private equity funds, investment banks, and government agencies on various corporate or investment activities.

Living in New York City with his wife Jordana, Ian hails originally from Montreal, Canada where he grew up and where he attended McGill University, studying Electrical Engineering and Physics. Ian also studied Operations Research at the University of British Columbia and is also a proud alumnus of the International Space University, attending SSP 2006 in Strasbourg, France.
