Patryk Sofia Lykawka is a Brazilian-Italian planetary scientist and dynamicist who has contributed to various topics in planetary sciences. His main contributions include modelling Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt formation, the dynamical evolution of solar system minor bodies (in particular trans-Neptunian objects -- TNOs, Trojan asteroids, Centaur objects, short-period comets), and the role of mean motion resonances in the region beyond the orbit of Neptune.
Patryk's main research interests are:
• Origin and evolution of the Solar System
• Physics and dynamics of solar system small bodies
• Terrestrial planet formation
• Planetary migration
• Orbital resonances
Other interests include science outreach, philosophy of science, and critical thinking.
