Dr. Jason Kring

Jason P. Kring received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, his M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Emporia State University, and Ph.D. in Applied Experimental and Human Factors Psychology from the University of Central Florida. He has worked as a researcher at the United States Army Research Institute in Orlando and interned at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, developing human factors recommendations related to the International Space Station. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Human Factors and Systems at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. His primary research area of is the performance of small teams in extreme environments like spaceflight and the military. Current research projects include developing ways to monitor the function and performance of crews on long-duration space missions, design considerations for space vehicles and planetary habitats, and using simulation and game-based exercises to train communication and leadership.
