Brian Hart is originally from Minneapolis, MN and obtained his PhD in Astrophysics from the University of California, Irvine in March 2008. Hart studies the structure and evolution of the Universe through observations of clusters of galaxies using data from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, a currently-orbiting, NASA satellite mission. Hart currently serves as director of SoCal Science Cafe, a nonprofit public science outreach program serving the greater Southern California area. Hart is also an officer applicant for the U.S. Army.
