We started our discussion with a focus on US space policy and our future in space. Dr. Worden supported the presidential plan and since Congress does not yet have a final, approved policy, we did not address the congressional ideas to date. Dr. Worden explained in detail why the presidential plan was good for our space policy.

He also talked about the upcoming launch for Falcon 9 and the fact that Falcon 1 had a successful commercial launch earlier this year. He highlighted Augustine, the business plan competition at NewSpace 2009 and the Space Investment Summits.

Tom Ligon returned to The Space Show and we welcomed Michael Simon to update us on the Dr. Bussard fusion program with Polywell Fusion and more. We started our first segment with an overview of Dr. Bussard's fusion work.. Our gusts brought us current with the status of the EMC2 Fusion Development Corporation and explained Polywell Fusion, the concept of using Proton Boron-11 (PB-11) fuel, along with the idea of using HE3 on the Moon.
