A few topics discussed on this show included the new U.S. Federal regulation for commercial personal spaceflight, new remote sensing laws in Germany and France, pending space laws in Japan, and the upcoming 2nd International Conference on the State of Remote Sensing laws.

Dr. Rygalov continued his discussion from the last time he was a guest on the program regarding mental, emotional, and stressful situations encountered by cosmonauts and astronauts as a result of long term spaceflight. We began the discussion talking about the high stress environment in space and human psychological factors, first with suborbital tourism and future tourist stays of up to a week or so at a space hotel.

Dr. Kristin Shrader-Frechette was the guest for this special and important Space Show program. Dr. Shrader-Frechette spoke with us about radiation, career radiation dosages, what this means for spaceflight, even short suborbital spaceflight. She stressed over and over again during this interview that there is no safe limit for ionizing radiation and that even absorbing a small amount of this radiation in a suborbital flight can cause us health issues depending on our own body chemistry, our lifetime radiation dosages and more.

In this interview, we talked about radiation on the Moon, Mars, in deep space and on space craft such as the ISS, shuttle, and future space vehicles.
