We welcomed Dr. John Brandenburg back to the program for a one segment 2 hour 16 minute multi-topic discussion program.  Dr. Brandenburg started off by telling us about his upcoming presentation on his GEM Theory at an Aerospace Corporation Advanced Propulsion Conference later this year in Los Angeles.  In talking about his GEM Theory, gravity, electromagnetism and a grand unification theory, John talked about the EmDrive and what he believes has been confirmation that it works.  He said the resistance mass was the solar system and universe.  Listen for his explanation of this concept. He also talked about having seen the experiments at NASA JSC and speculated as to why the Eagleworks Lab was terminated.  Some of what he said dealt with national security issues and what it might mean for there to be an actual working EmDrive.  One of the thing he talked about was having the ability to move orbits and change around spy satellites.  Again, don't miss his explanation of this. 

John from Ft. Worth called to talk about the physics Dr. Brandenburg had been talking about.  The discussion evolved to Dr. Woodward's Mach Thruster work.  Here, Dr. Brandenburg had much say, especially about trying to get his work to fit into the Mach Thruster work of Dr. Woodward and Dr. Fern.  While you may find some of the discussion a bit technical, don't miss it as it was informative and important. 

The next topic centered on  the work of our guest on his theory about large H-Bomb explosions on Mars millions of years ago.  As part of this discussion, I asked John about the critique by listener Jim Fincannon who disagreed with John's Xenon 129 and other conclusions.  You can read Jim's blog post about the Brandenburg work and theory on the blog for this show.  Note that on behalf of our guest, I posted Dr. Brandenburg's reply.  Make sure you visit the URL given because that is where John replied to Jim in full, including with graphs and charts.  The URL for John's reply to Jim is http://lifeonmars.pub.  Be sure to read it as John addressed the concerns raised by Fincannon.  I also ask John about Jim's comments that it would take millions of years for the isotope Xenon 129 to develop.  John quickly put that argument to rest.  Don't miss the explanation of this as he said Xenon 129 forms almost instantly with an H bomb explosion contrary to what Fincannon was talking about.  Regarding the nuclear bomb theory on Mars, Dr. B said that they only way these isotopes appear is either after a supernova or an H bomb explosion.  He said we know there was no supernova on Mars.  That leaves the H bomb theory strange as it may be.  Let us know what you think by posting your comments on the blog.

Kim called asking where the Mars Xenon 129 came from.  John said this was from the Viking Lander but confirmed by more recent Mars data from later missions.  Kim asked other physics related questions including one about entropy.  Kim also brought up the hot death theory which Dr. B addressed. 

The next major topic of the show focused on John's latest science fiction book, "To Rule the Night: The UFO War" (not in Kansas anymore).  This is Book II of the Morningstar UFO Trilogy.  Dr. B writes his science fiction under the pen name Victor Norgarde.  John described and explained is UFO Wars trilogy, the main characters and the UFO war that he has been writing about.  The book is 825 pages long and I've read the first 30 pages and like it very much.  The book is available on Amazon.  Should you decide to get it, please use the Amazon One Giant Leap Portal or Smile page so that Amazon will donate a portion of the book sales to The Space Show.  You can see the Amazon instructions for OGLF and The Space Show by clicking on the Amazon link on our homepage.  John had much to say about the book, his two main characters Cassandra Chen and Pam as they were the journalists that broke open the secret UFO war in Book I.  In Book II we learn a lot about what happened to Cassandra and Pam.  John even told us some of this during our discussion but what he said on air did not warrant a spoiler alert.  If you like science fiction, you will like his UFO trilogy.  I suggest starting with Book I if you have not yet read it, then moving on to the new Book II.

Our last question came in from Freemont John regarding HE3 and the proposed fusion-fission hybrid reactor.  John said progress had so far been limited and partially blamed the cultural differences with the fusion and the fission sectors of the industry.  Simply put, they don't get along and don't work well together so little progress has been made though there is still interest in the project.
