Phillip O. Hurst

Phillip O. Hursit was part of the group that founded the Golf Channel, Mr. Hurst participated in all stages of that company’s development and success as a niche programming network. He helped write the business plan, raise the start-up capital, launch the on-air service, launch the online service and grow international distribution to over 100 million subscribers. He has consulted for other start-ups and enjoys a strong network of television and new media contacts. In 2007 he started his own media firm, specializing in creating programming and content services in the emerging networked media environment. He is also an instrument-rated Commercial pilot and musician.
