Dr. Eligar Sadeh, Eisenhower Center For Space & Defense Studies
Eligar Sadeh is President and CEO of Astroconsulting International that provides consulting solutions, research studies, and professional education for the national security, commercial, and civil space sectors in the United States and the global community. Clients and partners of Astroconsulting International include: Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies at the United States Air Force Academy; NASA Academy of Program, Project, and Engineering Leadership; American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Professional Development; Center for Space Studies at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs; Astropolitics of Taylor and Francis Routledge; and Imprimis Inc. Sadeh holds a Ph.D. in Political Science with an emphasis on Science and Technology Policy, Space Studies, and Environmental Studies from Colorado State University. He also holds a Masters of Arts in International Studies with a focus on security, conflict, and cooperation from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences with specializations in space systems engineering and bioengineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. From 2001 to 2008, Sadeh held professorships in Space Studies at the College of Aerospace Sciences of the University of North Dakota, and in Space and Defense Studies at the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to these academic positions, Sadeh worked for Lockheed-Martin as a Space Systems Engineer. Sadeh currently serves as a Research Associate with the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University, Editor of Astropolitics published by Taylor and Francis Routledge, Editor of Space and Defense, journal of the Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies, and on the Editorial Board of Space Policy published by Elsevier Science. Sadeh has a number of publications in Acta Astronautica, Astropolitics, and Space Policy, and other peer-reviewed journals. He is a contributing author to a Space Power Theory Project sponsored by the National Defense University and a Space and Defense Policy textbook edited by the United States Air Force Academy, and published Space Politics and Policy: An Evolutionary Perspective in 2002 and Politics of Space that is forthcoming in 2009. Sadeh holds adjunct professorships with the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and the American Military University to instruct space-related academic courses. In addition, Sadeh instructs professional development courses in space policy and space management for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, United Space Alliance Training Academy, and the NASA Academy of Program, Project, and Engineering Leadership. Sadeh is a recognized expert in the areas of space policy and law, space studies, space systems management, and space technology development with sponsored research, and invited interviews, presentations, and testimonies, including, among others: National Science Foundation, NASA, Taylor and Francis Routledge, Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies, National Defense University, Tauri Group, Congressional Quarterly, United States Government Accountability Office, World Affairs Council of America, History Channel International, and National Public Radio.
