Brian Chase
Brian Chase is the vice president of the Washington Operations for the Space Foundation and the first chairman for the newly formed National Space & Satellite Alliance (NSSA). Mr. Chase is available to decision makers and Space Foundation customers in Washington on a daily basis, representing the Foundation and advancing its mission in space policy, education, events, conferences and symposia and in media activities. The NSSA is an organization formed to provide more cohesive and unified advocacy of space policy issues in Washington and to more effectively serve their members' interests. Mr. Chase most recently served as executive director of the National Space Society (NSS). Prior to joining NSS, Chase served as deputy chief of staff and campaign manager for U.S. Congressman Dave Weldon (R-FL). He also worked for Weldon in his Washington office as press secretary and senior legislative assistant, and was manager of State Relations & Strategic Communications for NASA contractor United Space Alliance in Houston. He began his career at NASA’s Johnson Space Center as a cooperative education student and later as a Program Analyst with the International Space Station Program Office. Chase has testified on space policy before the U.S. Congress and his quotes have been featured in leading news publications, including the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and the Washington Post. He has been a radio and television commentator on numerous national and regional outlets, including the Fox News Channel, CNNfn, CNBC, and C-SPAN. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
